ROLE OVERVIEW
This role ensures accurate and timely billing across a high‑volume order processing environment. The Billing Operations Coordinator supports sales teams, billing specialists and internal stakeholders to meet billing KPIs, uphold internal controls, and maintain revenue accuracy. The position plays a key part in continuous improvement initiatives and embracing change within a fast‑moving billing function.

- 4 month contract, inside IR35
- Hybrid working in Reading
- £28.00 per hour
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Process orders and complete accurate invoicing aligned with internal billing targets and legal agreement requirements.
- Verify revenue recognition criteria to ensure orders can be booked.
- Troubleshoot billing and order management issues to support cash collection goals.
- Manage internal stakeholder queries regarding billing processes, controls, and policies.
- Follow all internal controls to maintain compliance and protect the organisation’s brand.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and automation initiatives within the billing function.
ABOUT YOU
- 2+ years’ experience in a billing, finance, or similar operations environment (software/tech industry advantageous).
- Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate clearly.
- Working knowledge of billing systems and Microsoft Office; experience with SAP or Salesforce beneficial.
- Understanding of accounting principles and exposure to reviewing legal agreements.
- Highly organised, detail‑oriented, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Self‑starter with strong teamwork skills and comfort with change.
