A Local Government organisation is seeking a hands-on IT Project Support Coordinator to support the delivery of a Windows 11 desktop refresh programme. This is an operational coordination role, not a technical engineering position. The focus is on scheduling, deployment logistics, data accuracy, user engagement and issue tracking across a multi-site rollout. You will own the day-to-day operational workload, ensuring the deployment runs smoothly and allowing senior leadership to focus on governance, risk and decision making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate deployment schedules across users and locations
  • Maintain accurate trackers, inventories, logs and deployment data
  • Manage user communications around bookings, device swaps and changes
  • Support rollout logistics including hardware readiness and validation
  • Track issues, actions and dependencies and elevate where required
  • Work with engineers, service desk, suppliers and business users
  • Support progress reporting and deployment updates

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Strong project support or coordination experience on IT projects
  • Proven experience supporting desktop refreshes, OS migrations or device rollouts
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills
