We're looking for a mid-level freelance Campaign Strategist / Brand Storyteller to support a mass-audience UK news publisher on a high-profile, editorial-led campaign. This role is focused on narrative, messaging, and campaign strategy, not performance marketing or growth tactics. This is an opportunity to shape a large-scale brand campaign with cultural reach, working closely with senior stakeholders in a fast-paced, newsroom-adjacent environment. Immediate availability is essential.
Role Details
- Start: Monday 2nd February
- Contract length: 3 months
- Rate: £435 per day (maximum)
- IR35: Inside IR35 (Umbrella only, not limited company or Sole Trader)
- Location: High Street Kensington
- Hybrid working: 3 days onsite per week (non-negotiable)
- Work pattern: Full-time, 5 days per week
- Level: Mid-level
Responsibilities
- Develop a large-scale brand / editorial-led campaign
- Define campaign narrative, messaging, and strategic direction
- Shape storytelling suitable for a national news audience
- Work closely with internal teams to guide campaign output
- Ensure consistency of message across digital campaign touchpoints
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Campaign Strategist, Brand Strategist, or Editorial Strategist
- Strong background in agency environments
- Experience working on campaigns comparable in tone and ambition to major newspaper brands
- Strategic thinker with a storytelling-first approach
- Not suitable for fractional CMOs or traditional marketing executive profiles
- Must be immediately available
