The Identity & Access Management (IAM) team ensures secure and compliant access across the IT landscape, covering user lifecycle management, privileged access, infrastructure management and identity security services. We are seeking a hands‑on Data Engineer to support the Data Cluster across data‑driven capabilities such as Identity Data Fabric, Metrics & Dashboards and the Privileged Technical Account (PTA) Inventory. You will help design and deliver data models, pipelines and automations that enable secure and efficient identity services, working closely with the Lead Data Architect and cross‑domain stakeholders. The client operates in a Cloud‑based environment and you will need to interact with Agile squads to deliver successfully.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain data pipelines, automated scripts and SQL Server database objects.
  • Contribute to development of an integrated IdAM data model ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Produce technical documentation including ERDs, functional and technical designs.
  • Support testing cycles and manage feedback with internal customers.
  • Deliver knowledge‑transfer and handover materials to operational teams.
  • Identify and escalate security risks in solution designs.
  • Consider operational control and automation impacts in proposed solutions.
  • Support operationalisation of solutions.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer.
  • Experience in data modelling, SQL Server development and data architecture.
  • Proficiency with PowerShell scripting and automation.
  • Experience with ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory.
  • Understanding of access control concepts including Segregation of Duties.
  • Awareness of IAM/security tools such as CyberArk, SailPoint IIQ, RACF, BeyondTrust or ServiceNow.
  • Operational support awareness, including ticketing tools and L2/L3 processes.
  • Knowledge of platforms such as Windows, Unix and networking.
  • Knowledge of other databases (Oracle, DB2, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) beneficial.
  • Security certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA) advantageous.
