We're looking for a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join a forward‑thinking team responsible for managing and evolving a hybrid estate of physical, virtual, and cloud systems. You’ll take ownership of physical server environments, ensure resilience across Windows, Linux, SQL, and Exchange platforms, and contribute to ongoing transformation projects in Azure.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain physical server infrastructure, storage, and hardware components.
- Support and administer Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Oversee Microsoft Exchange Server environments ensuring uptime and performance.
- Design and maintain SQL Server databases, including replication and failover configurations.
- Lead initiatives integrating on‑premise systems with Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance system performance, availability, and security.
- Work closely with architecture and security teams to implement best practices.
- Contribute to documentation, process improvement, and technology roadmap planning.
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in physical server and data centre operations.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux system administration.
- Hands‑on experience with MS Exchange Server and SQL Server (replication, clustering, and failover).
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Azure cloud services and migration patterns.
- Familiarity with automation tools (PowerShell, scripting) is beneficial.
