What You'll Be Doing

  • Own server infrastructure (Windows/Linux) across a multi-site environment
  • Deliver 2nd/3rd line support for complex incidents and escalation
  • Manage virtualisation platforms (VMware / Hyper-V)
  • Maintain backup, disaster recovery & business continuity strategies
  • Ensure system security, patching & compliance across all servers
  • Build and optimise file, print & storage services
  • Support project rollouts, migrations & infrastructure upgrades
  • Troubleshoot deeply – from OS to hardware to network layers

Deep understanding of:

  • Strong server engineering experience (Windows Server + Linux)
  • Solid virtualisation expertise (VMware / Hyper-V)
  • Storage, backup & restore processes
  • Patch management & system security
  • Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
  • Proven ability to debug complex infrastructure issues end-to-end
  • Experience working in high-availability / mission-critical environments
  • Confident delivering 3rd line support and owning incidents
  • Experience with enterprise server hardware (maintenance, upgrades, replacements)
  • Familiarity with Azure / Microsoft ecosystem
  • Working knowledge of ITIL practices and service management
