eCommerce Trading Manager – Digital/ App focus

A leading retailer in who are embarking on an incredible Digital Transformation are looking to hire a Digital Trading Manager to focus on their App growth. You will join an established eCommerce function of 12 people.
You will have responsibility for driving revenue across their recently upgraded App. You will provide key trading insights that drive opportunity and growth, further increasing their App participation within the business and making the App the easiest way to shop with the business.
Responsibilities
- Own the day-to-day trading activity across the app, ensuring the offer and content strategy supports commercial priorities and performance goals
- Manage and update digital offers and product content, using internal CMS tools to maintain a smooth and accurate customer journey
- Monitor and report on app performance (e.g. conversion, revenue per user, session trends), drawing actionable insights to improve trading outcomes
- Collaborate closely with CRM, digital marketing, commercial and supply chain teams to coordinate campaigns and ensure customer-facing content is relevant, timely, and effective
- Deliver messaging via app push notifications and in-app content, aligned with key trading events, campaigns, and seasonal plans
- Review market trends and competitor activity to help shape future strategies and identify quick-win opportunities
- Support the creation of app trading plans, contributing to long- and short-term growth initiatives
- Feed into weekly reporting, flagging risks and opportunities to drive digital sales across the app channel
Experience required
- Strong commercial awareness and experience in digital or app trading
- Confidence working with performance data and customer insights
- Hands-on experience using CMS or digital merchandising tools
- Familiarity with app messaging (push/in-app), CRM and digital campaign workflows
- Collaborative and highly organised, with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines
- Experience with analytics tools (e.g. GA4, Power BI, ContentSquare or similar)
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
