We are seeking an exceptional Principal Project Manager to lead the replacement of a nationally used GP data quality, audit and reporting platform before March 2027. This is a high-profile, politically sensitive transformation programme that underpins:

  • GP contractual reporting submissions
  • Secondary uses data flows
  • Vaccination cohort reporting
  • Analytics and performance insights

You will take full accountability for delivering a replacement product while ensuring continuity of service for GP practices and national stakeholders. This is not a routine delivery role. This is strategic, executive-facing transformation leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a complex, multi-stream programme comprising:
    • GP Data Platform (in-house replacement)
    • Information Governance
    • Third-Party Supplier management
    • Analytics & Reporting
  • Own the overarching programme plan and delivery roadmap
  • Deliver a Proof of Concept in Q1 2026/27
  • Ensure all current modules, reports and searches remain accessible
  • Manage executive-level governance and assurance forums
  • Lead risk, benefits realisation and budget control
  • Coordinate operational and strategic stakeholder engagement
  • Prepare board-level documentation and business cases
  • Ensure a controlled transition into business-as-usual
  • Operate at both operational and executive levels and act as the accountable programme integrator
