You will join a small specialist team responsible for the university virtual learning environment and associated learning technologies. The focus of the role is hands-on development, integrations and improving the core platforms used for teaching, learning and assessment. The role requires a strong Moodle developer who can work independently, write high-quality code and contribute ideas to improve the platform landscape.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and enhance Moodle functionality including plugin development and integrations
  • Work across systems such as Moodle, lecture capture platforms and learning tools
  • Build and maintain integrations between university systems using APIs
  • Investigate technical issues and implement fixes across the platform estate
  • Work closely with internal teams, architects, analysts and vendors
  • Support improvements to data flows between systems such as student records, timetabling and learning platforms
  • Contribute to documentation, development standards and best practice
  • Provide technical expertise across projects and operational work
  • Ensure secure, stable and scalable services across the learning systems landscape
