A healthcare client is seeking a Band 8 NHS Data Architect/Designer to play a key role in defining and implementing the technical architecture of the National Data and Analytics Platform (NDAP). This role will focus on designing scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud-based data solutions to support healthcare analytics and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement technical strategies, architectures, and data models on Google Cloud Platform.
- Lead the design and delivery of cloud-based data engineering, DevOps, and automation solutions.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineering teams to establish best practices.
- Ensure security, compliance, and performance of cloud-based data solutions.
- Guide and mentor teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
- Drive the adoption of architectural principles and data governance standards.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as a Data Architect/Designer working on large-scale cloud data projects.
- Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for data and analytics.
- Ability to define technical roadmaps, architectural best practices, and governance frameworks.
- Hands-on experience in data engineering, DevOps, and cloud automation.
- Strong understanding of data modelling, metadata management, and data governance.
