The HR Business Partner will provide proactive and commercially focused HR support across Retail & Store Operations partnering with leaders to deliver people plans that enable business performance, engagement, capability and retention. The role will work as part of the local management team and collaborate closely with the wider European HR community to implement and shape group initiatives locally. This is a field based role, with regular presence in our Bracknell Office.
Responsibilities
- Business partnering & operational HR: Partner with leaders to improve organisational effectiveness, productivity and employee experience across multi-site operations. Provide coaching and guidance to people leaders on performance management, engagement, absence, capability and succession. Implement and embed HR policies, processes and tools, ensuring consistency and high-quality execution.
- Employee relations & compliance: Oversee employee relations matters, including complex casework and investigations. Ensure compliance with local labour law and internal policy frameworks, providing pragmatic risk-based advice.
- Talent acquisition & onboarding: Support recruitment planning and delivery, working with HR colleagues to ensure effective sourcing, selection and onboarding. Contribute to employer branding activities to attract and retain talent in a competitive market.
- Learning, talent & performance: Support the delivery of people practices including performance cycles, development planning, talent identification and succession planning. Promote and support learning initiatives that build leadership capability and operational excellence (i.e Sales & Service Training).
- People insights: Monitor and analyse key HR metrics (e.g., turnover, absence, ER trends, engagement) and recommend actions to improve outcomes. Provide regular reporting and insight to the local leadership team and HR leadership as required.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in HR, Economics, Psychology, Law or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Significant experience as an HR Business Partner within retail and/or operational environments; multi-site experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing employee relations casework and advising leaders in fast-paced settings.
- Strong understanding of local labour law and social regulations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Willingness to travel regularly across sites (including occasional overnight stays); driving licence as required.
