We work with the UK government and the devolved administrations in Scotland and Wales. As well as managing the funding schemes, we provide professional advice, expertise, and support to grant recipients throughout all stages of their projects.

We also offer insight, intelligence, and influence by sharing knowledge and lessons learnt from project delivery to help improve future schemes and policy development.

We were created in 2004 and have been growing ever since. We now employ 200 people. Our principal office is in Manchester, and we have a base at Canary Wharf in London. We are wholly owned by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ).

As a Learning and Development Specialist in Technology Platforms , you’ll play a vital role in ensuring Salix’s workforce is fully equipped to use our technology tools effectively and confidently. From the latest in M365 Suite and NetSuite to Salesforce , you’ll become the go-to expert in leveraging these platforms to drive success.

  • Lead and Grow: Be the lead in creating and delivering tailored learning experiences and resources for staff.
  • Innovate Solutions: Partner with HR to develop a catalogue of cutting-edge learning tools and materials.
  • Stay Ahead: Keep your knowledge fresh on software capabilities and upcoming features, so Salix stays at the forefront of technology.

What You\’ll Do

  • Design and deliver training sessions for groups and individuals, ensuring all learning needs are met.
  • Create impactful resources, like user guides, manuals, and hints-and-tips tailored to our staff.
  • Analyse the effectiveness of learning programmes and use feedback to continually improve.
  • Collaborate with teams to enhance processes, identify skill gaps, and deliver innovative solutions.

What We\’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone experienced in learning design and delivery, and skilled in simplifying the complex so that everyone thrives in the digital space. Key Skills include :

  • Learning design and development
  • Learning delivery and management
  • Knowledge management and content creation

This role aligns with the Skills Framework for the Information Age (SFIA) at level 4 competencies , making it an excellent fit for professionals ready to take their learning expertise to the next stage!
