The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Workplace Administrator to join our Data, Technology and Workplace (DTW) team. This role focuses on delivering high-quality technical support, managing and optimising our Microsoft 365 environment, and supporting end-user computing across the organisation. You’ll play a key role in maintaining secure, efficient, and user-friendly systems while supporting our ongoing technology transformation. You’ll also act as a senior escalation point within the workplace team and work closely with third-party providers and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality end-user support across Microsoft 365 services (Teams, SharePoint, Exchange, Office 365), acting as an escalation point within the team and for third-party providers
  • Manage identity, access and endpoint environments using Microsoft tools (Entra, Defender, Intune), including mobile device management
  • Administer enterprise applications, including onboarding, security reviews, and provisioning via SSO/SCIM
  • Support technology projects and contribute to ongoing transformation initiatives across Salix
  • Ensure compliance with information security policies, maintaining secure configurations across M365 and end-user devices
  • Maintain accurate documentation and actively identify and implement continuous improvements across workplace services
  • Operate within IT service management processes to ensure a stable, secure and low-risk environment, monitoring and mitigating system risks
  • Provide on-site support when required, including workplace and facilities support, and undertake additional responsibilities as needed

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a proactive and technically skilled professional with strong experience in Microsoft environments and end-user support.

Essential:

  • Relevant technical certifications (e.g. Microsoft certifications)
  • Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • At least 3 years’ experience in IT desktop support within an enterprise environment (200+ users)
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft admin centres (Entra, Intune, M365, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, Security)
  • Experience managing end-user devices and mobile device policies
  • Solid understanding of information security principles and best practices
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience producing clear technical documentation
  • Experience working with third-party suppliers

Desirable:

  • Experience with Azure-hosted services
  • Knowledge of DLP and information protection policies
  • Familiarity with IT service management frameworks (e.g. ITIL)
  • Experience with scripting and automation (e.g. PowerShell, Power Automate)
  • Experience engaging with senior stakeholders
