Job Summary: This position is the result of a departmental retirement and has a preferred start date of August 2026. The primary duty will be to teach 6 Psychology courses per academic year. This position requires a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and research training, as well as a commitment to engaging in scholarship commensurate with the school’s mission, and service/outreach to the University.

Authority and Accountability: This position reports to the Chair of the Psychology Department and has no direct reports or budget authorization responsibility.

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Doctorate in Psychology, Neuroscience, or related field; ABD will be considered.
  • A candidate must also have a plan for maintaining a productive scholarly program while in this position.
  • The candidate must be able to contribute to one or more of the following areas: Developmental Psychology, Clinical/Counseling Psychology, and/or Cognitive/Neuroscience curriculums.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will have teaching experience and the ability to teach a range of courses, including core courses (General Psychology, Psychological Statistics, Research Methods, Diversity Courses, Experiential Courses) as needed, as well as courses in their area of expertise.
  • Candidates are expected to utilize effective teaching strategies which enhance the success of a diverse student body.

Additional Job Information: The position is a full-time, exempt state role with comprehensive benefits. Priority will be given to applicants who apply by February 28, 2026.
