The Coordinator for Student Accountability & Community Standards supports and coordinates the resolution of non-academic misconduct cases through formal and informal processes, the education of the campus community regarding standards of behaviour and available resources, as well as administrative processes within Student Accountability & Community Standards.

Among key duties of this position are the following:

  • Assists in the administrative coordination and resolution of non-academic misconduct cases, corresponding regularly with involved students, parents/guardians, residence life staff, advisors, organizational stakeholders, etc.;
  • Assists in managing the respective administrative duties that accompany non-academic misconduct cases including, properly maintaining confidential student disciplinary records, managing caseload with Maxient, tracking successful completion of student sanctions, etc.;
  • Assists in conflict resolution cases arising between students or community members and neighbour issues;
  • Assists in the development and delivery of prevention and awareness programmes to incoming and current students, as well as training and education programmes to stakeholders on and off-campus regarding services provided;
  • Assists in the completion of other administrative processes within Student Accountability and Community Standards, such as assessment efforts, background checks for current and former students, disciplinary review for incoming students, etc.

Authority and Accountability

This position reports to the Assistant Dean of Students and does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience;
  • Two (2) years of relevant professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in related field;
  • Prior experience with student conduct and conflict/dispute resolution. Familiarity with student organisations;
  • Experience with Maxient software system.

The position is a Contingent II, full-time, non-exempt position. Priority will be given to applicants who apply by May 4, 2026. However, the position will remain open until filled.
