Salisbury 6th Form College is looking to appoint an excellent administrator to be the Exams Officer for the College and to take responsibility for the efficient and effective running of all internal and external examinations within the College.
The role will include liaising with staff, students, invigilators and examination boards and ensuring a high quality of administration and communication. The successful candidate will lead an Exams Assistant and a team of Invigilators. A friendly and efficient attitude is essential.
This is a key role within the College and the successful candidate must be well organised, with a “can do” approach and be resilient under pressure. The role requires excellent attention to detail and high self-motivation. Previous experience of working in an examinations position would be an advantage but it is not essential as training and support will be provided.
This position is for 29.6 hours per week, term time plus 3 weeks. The post-holder will be expected to work as required to cover all examination requirements. The hours per week will flex during exam periods when additional hours will be needed to support students. The Exams Officer is also responsible for the download and issue of results in August. The number of working weeks paid within the contract is adjusted to cover this workload and the College operates a system of time-off in lieu which can be taken in quieter periods.
The salary is on scale H, depending on experience, which translates to an approximate actual salary of £23,368 - £25,530 per annum for (0.74 - 0.75 FTE).
