Salisbury Road Primary School is looking to appoint a passionate, hardworking and driven Apprentice Teaching Assistant to join their outstanding team. This vacancy is being managed by Plymouth Teachers and Schools Alliance.
Responsibilities
- Work under the direction of teachers and senior staff to provide safe, high-quality education and care for young children.
- Maintain a stimulating and enjoyable learning environment.
- Carry out the professional duties of a Teaching Assistant as required.
- Take responsibility for child protection issues as appropriate and promote safeguarding welfare of children and young people within the school.
- Be committed and driven to achieve the best for every child and contribute as an outstanding member of the school community.
- Be supported within the role by the school and the apprenticeship provider.
Training and qualifications
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship Standard.
- Functional Skills in Maths and English at level 2 (if not exempt through prior qualifications).
- Regular visits at the workplace from a designated assessor to observe progress and competence in the role.
- Training days will be once a month at Plymouth Teachers and School Alliance.
Employment prospects
