Band 6 Recovery Team Leader – PACU

We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and dynamic Band 6 Recovery Team Leader to join our team. The role covers various specialties including Plastics, Orthopaedics, Urology, Gynaecology, ENT, General Surgery, Colorectal, Maxillofacial, Day case surgery, and Emergency.

This position offers an opportunity to develop your management skills and actively contribute to departmental improvements and leadership.

Ideal for an experienced nurse aiming to advance into a leadership role within a vibrant PACU environment dedicated to safe and compassionate patient care.

The PACU services include Main Theatres, Day Surgery, Obstetrics, and other satellite units within the Trust. Staff must be flexible, adaptable, and skilled.

Main duties of the job

The Band 6 PACU Nurse provides high-quality post-operative care, monitoring vital signs, managing pain, and ensuring safe patient transition from recovery to ward or discharge. The role requires advanced clinical knowledge to lead, supervise, and mentor junior staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and protocols.
