Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Administrator will be part of a supportive payroll team, helping to deliver an accurate and timely monthly payroll. This role would suit someone with previous payroll experience who is comfortable working in a busy environment and enjoys working with detail and precision.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Inputting changes into the payroll system, including rate changes, department changes, tax codes and third-party payments.
  • Calculating hours worked using time and attendance reports and importing data into the payroll system.
  • Checking holiday pay entitlement to ensure accuracy.
  • Processing payroll information to ensure employees are paid correctly and on time.
  • Issuing electronic payslips, P45s and other payroll documentation.
  • Maintaining payroll records for benefits and pension purposes, including administering changes.
  • Responding to general pay and tax queries from employees and stakeholders.
  • Liaising with other areas of the business to ensure payroll accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

About You:

You’ll have previous payroll experience and enjoy working accurately with data, processes and deadlines. You take pride in getting the detail right and understand the importance of paying people correctly and on time.

Skills and Experience:

  • Payroll experience in a similar role, with the ability to support the payroll process accurately and efficiently.
  • Good knowledge of payroll processes, including PAYE and NICs.
  • Confident Excel skills, with the ability to manage and maintain payroll data and records.
  • Strong organisational skills, able to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • A positive, professional approach, working well as part of a team and building effective working relationships.
