You will lead case management discussions, ensuring the professional and fair management of cases, while coaching and mentoring managers as advocates of Atlas’ Values. The ER Team is an integral part of the business, supporting our operational teams to ensure a professional, fair and consistent approach is taken to our policies and procedures, minimising risk and promoting a positive ER culture within the business.

No two days are ever the same, but your day‑to‑day responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the management of all Employee Relations cases, which will vary in complexity, risk and volume.
  • Managing a diverse caseload, inclusive of dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, retirements, redundancies and any employment litigation claims.
  • Providing prompt and comprehensive advice to managers on employee relation matters and collaborating with our legal partners as required.
  • Coaching and mentoring line managers on effective approaches to handling issues.
  • Ensuring adherence to company procedures, policies, and requirements across the company.
  • Gathering pertinent facts for each case to ensure accurate advice.
  • Reviewing and advising on case evidence, notes and procedural correspondence, supporting operational teams in meetings and hearings as necessary.
  • Drafting HR‑related correspondence on behalf of managers.
  • Fostering and maintaining strong working relationships with key stakeholders.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the timely progression of all cases through effective tracking, providing weekly and periodic reporting on case statistics and work updates.
  • Collating, analysing and reporting on data to identify trends and provide proactive resolutions.
  • Supporting the wider HR team with the delivery of leadership initiatives.
  • Identifying opportunities for improving policies and procedures.
  • Assisting with TUPE transfer processes, both incoming and outgoing.
  • Interfacing with Trade Unions.
  • Contributing to ad‑hoc projects as part of the people strategy.

Our ER Advisors report to the HR Manager for support and guidance. You will use internal bespoke systems together with the standard Microsoft suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
