The days and hours: This role is contracted at 45 hours per week, with working hours generally between 09:00 and 17:00. As our site operates both day and evening cleaning teams, a flexible approach is required to ensure effective support across all areas of the operation when needed.

What you’ll be doing:
- Lead, motivate and develop a team of Site Supervisors and Cleaning Operatives to deliver exceptional cleaning standards in line with agreed service levels and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Act as a visible leader, promoting a culture of excellence and ensuring high standards are maintained across the site.
- Support employee engagement and retention through effective inductions, training, coaching, performance management and regular feedback.
- Manage recruitment and onboarding activities, including interviewing candidates and supporting new starters through their induction journey.
- Carry out regular quality audits and site inspections, using company systems to monitor performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication, meetings and a proactive approach to service delivery.
- Ensure all team members receive the appropriate training and development opportunities, maintaining accurate training records.
- Oversee site compliance, ensuring all documentation, audits and records are accurate, up to date and meet company requirements.
- Manage cleaning equipment, consumables and stock levels effectively, ensuring resources are maintained and controlled within budget.
- Plan and allocate workloads, manage rotas and maintain appropriate staffing levels to meet operational requirements.
- Monitor attendance, workforce data and payroll information through electronic systems, ensuring accuracy at all times.
- Promote a strong health and safety culture, ensuring all colleagues wear the correct PPE and adhere to site rules and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with quality management systems, health & safety legislation, environmental standards and company policies.
- Investigate and resolve client or operational issues promptly, implementing corrective actions where required.
- Work closely with the Regional Manager and wider operational team to deliver continuous improvement and outstanding customer satisfaction.
- Manage the commercial performance of the contract, ensuring budgets are achieved and supplier relationships are effectively managed.
- Take a proactive and strategic approach to service delivery, identifying opportunities for innovation, efficiency and operational excellence.
About You
We’re hoping to recruit a person who is compassionate toward people: quick on the draw when it comes to hygienic safety in busy environments and have experience in people management. Ideally someone who is based within the area, enjoys a proactive role maintaining a strong and happy relationship with clients and staff.
