Maintenance Operative
Location: Oxfordshire. Salary: up to £33,750 per annum. Type: Full time, permanent.
Job Summary
At Atlas Workplace Services, we are looking for a Maintenance Operative to support our prestigious client site in Oxfordshire. This hands‑on position involves delivering high‑quality facilities services and assisting with post room activities, porterage, general maintenance, and support to the hard services team.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver consistently high standard of customer service.
- Support post room operations, including handling deliveries.
- Provide porterage and stores support, ensuring safe and efficient movement of items around site.
- Complete and maintain documentation in line with site processes.
- Manage reactive work requests through the CAFM system, ensuring tasks are completed in line with KPIs and SLAs.
- Carry out general maintenance activities including basic repairs, painting and decorating, and other fabric tasks.
- Assist with room setups, furniture movements, and layout changes.
- Support site waste management processes and ensure correct handling and disposal.
- Identify and report maintenance issues to the Helpdesk.
- Monitor stock levels and request replenishment where required.
- Respond promptly to changes in site requirements or incidents.
- Follow all health and safety, fire, and compliance procedures.
- Support the wider team with additional reasonable requests when needed.
Requirements
- Strong focus on customer service and quality.
- Experience in a facilities, maintenance, or similar environment.
- Practical, hands‑on approach with ability to manage a varied workload.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Proactive mindset and willingness to support across different tasks.
- Understanding of health and safety in a workplace environment.
- Previous experience delivering multi‑disciplinary building services.
- Experience working in a customer‑facing environment.
- Good working knowledge of modern office software.
- Experience using CAFM systems on Android tablets.
- Experience working in heavily controlled environments with strong health and safety compliance.
- Minimum qualifications: GCSE in English and Maths, or equivalent.
