We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, assembling, and repairing metal components using various fabrication techniques. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your welding expertise and mechanical knowledge in a dynamic environment. Duties
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine fabrication requirements.
- Perform TIG welding and other welding processes to join metal components accurately.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal working equipment to cut, shape, and assemble materials.
- Fabricate components from sheet metal, ensuring precision and adherence to safety standards.
- Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts into finished products or structures.
- Conduct inspections of welds and fabricated parts for quality assurance.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and optimise workflow.
Requirements
- Proven experience in fabrication, welding (including TIG welding), and working with sheet metal.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
- Mechanical knowledge with an understanding of assembly processes.
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Relevant certifications or training in TIG welding or general welding practices are desirable but not essential.
