Salisbury City Council own and maintain parks and green spaces within the parish of Salisbury. We are proud of the service which we provide and the high standard of grounds maintenance which we deliver.
Do you have experience in grounds maintenance and managing staff? The role includes managing a group of operatives and working closely with the team to carry out grounds maintenance tasks within the Salisbury parish.
Our Parks & Grounds Supervisors perform some grounds operative tasks but also lead a grounds maintenance team on a daily basis, including admin tasks relating to the day to day people management, IT, and purchasing.
Grounds Operative will do a variety of tasks, including:
- Mowing
- Strimming
- Gardening
- Hedge trimming
- Sports pitch marking
- Planting
We are looking for someone who has:
- A full drivers licence.
- Knowledge of amenity grounds maintenance.
- People management skills.
- Enjoys Working Outdoors
- IT and Procurement understanding
