HR Manager Location: Guildhall, Salisbury Salary: £32,654 – £36,124 per annum Hours: 37 hours per week (flexible) Are you an experienced HR professional passionate about making a positive impact on people and processes? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same? If so, we’d love to hear from you! We are looking for an HR Manager to join our team at Salisbury City Council reporting to the Head of HR. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a newly established HR team, where you will work alongside the Head of HR and an HR Administrator to deliver excellent HR services. What you’ll do: * Manage day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment, employee relations, and performance management. * Provide expert advice to line managers on HR policy and practices. * Promote inclusion, diversity, and equality in the workplace. * Drive training and development initiatives, ensuring all staff have access to the tools they need to grow. * Lead recruitment processes, onboarding, and workforce planning in collaboration with the Head of HR. * Maintain compliance with UK employment law, GDPR, and internal policies. * Analyse HR data trends and provide insights to improve organisational performance. What we are looking for: * CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience). * A solid understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices. * Strong problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills. * Excellent organisational abilities to manage competing priorities effectively. * Proven ability to build trust, foster positive relationships, and work collaboratively. * Commitment to continuous professional development.
