The Governors, staff and children at Lewis Street Primary School are looking to appoint an excellent and hardworking Learning Support Assistant (Level 3) to share in our vision within our multi-cultural school. All children deserve the very best and we are looking for a professional who has a passion for the teaching and the learning of children and is committed to our school values.
The school has an Executive Head teacher and works in partnership with Christ Church CE Primary School and Lark Hill Primary School. The school has an SEMH Enhanced Resource Provision and Place2Be, an on-site therapeutic counselling service.
The successful candidate will:
- Have the appropriate teaching and learning level 3 diploma or equivalent qualification
- Have knowledge of specific teaching programmes such as Read Write Inc Phonics
- Promote and model the school values of EXCELLENCE; RESPECT; CHALLENGE and SELF-BELIEF
- Promote and model the school vision including infusing honesty and integrity into all of school life
- Develop high quality professional relationships with children, colleagues, parents, carers and Governors
- Contribute to the development of an inspiring culture for learning across the school
- Plan and adapt learning to meet the needs of groups of pupils, including those pupils with SEND
- Deliver teaching and learning as part of whole class provision
- Understand the importance and impact of teamwork and collaboration
- Be committed and understand the importance of experiential learning
- Have the ability to self-evaluate learning needs and actively seek learning opportunities
- Understand the functions of behaviour and have experience of positive behaviour management strategies and a commitment to the school’s policy
