Salford Pride is looking for a passionate and creative Voluntary Design Assistant to support our Board of Trustees and our Head of Marketing & Branding. This role plays a key part in shaping the visual identity of Salford Pride and bringing our projects, especially our flagship event, The Pink Picnic to life. If you’re a creative thinker with a strong eye for design, who enjoys collaborating, taking feedback, and making a meaningful impact within the LGBTQ+ community, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading on the creation and design of graphics and artwork for Salford Pride
- Designing branded content for Salford Pride’s events and projects, with approval from the Board of Trustees
- Supporting the ongoing development of Salford Pride’s branding and corporate image, ensuring consistency across all materials
- Producing artwork and promotional materials for The Pink Picnic
- Creating graphics and artwork for the Salford Pride website, ensuring alignment with our brand values and visual identity
- Designing artwork for Salford Pride merchandise to help raise vital funds
- Supporting the Board of Trustees with visual content for campaigns and storytelling across Facebook, Twitter/X and Instagram
- Preparing designs for print and digital use, seeking prior approval for all materials before release
- Being open to feedback and constructive criticism, and willing to adapt designs based on Board input
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
- A strong grasp of written English
- Excellent creative skills with a great eye for detail
- Ability to manage and multitask multiple creative projects
- Comfortable working collaboratively and taking on feedback
- Reliable and able to commit 6–8 hours per week
Working Arrangements
- Hybrid working, with the majority of work completed remotely
- Ability to attend at least two in-person meetings per month in Salford
