Our students range from early years to adult, therefore the operational transport service we provide is as diverse as the requirements of the individual students we support.
We are seeking a highly organised and detail orientated support officer. The successful candidate will provide essential administrative support, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our school transport service. The role involves interacting with a wide range of colleagues, providers, service users and partners, resolving issues and problems that may occur. The role has a direct impact on the daily operations and is an essential contribution to the efficient running of the department. You will work as part of a team to support the delivery of essential school transport services.
About you
Your style and approach will reflect our values: you will be passionate about what you do. Always striving to improve, valuing and respecting others' contributions, you will work together to deliver a quality service; you will take pride in getting things right first time and learn from when things do go wrong. Working mainly without supervision, you will enjoy taking personal responsibility to resolve issues and change what you do and how you do it to make a difference for the users of the service and for the operational team.
You will have strong basic English and Maths skills, be comfortable to learn and use a variety of IT systems, and have experience of using packages such as Microsoft Outlook and Word. You will possess strong interpersonal skills, be able to communicate effectively with a varied range of customers and colleagues, and have experience of working under pressure.
