About the Role
We are looking for a confident and technically minded Systems Development Officer to help maintain and improve the digital systems that support our frontline services.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Streetscene IT systems.
- Support system configuration, improvements and digital development.
- Test and help roll out upgrades and new features.
- Monitor system performance and support data‑driven insight.
- Produce reports and SQL‑based data extracts.
- Support system users and deliver staff training.
Qualifications
- HNC in Computer Science, IT or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Around 3 to 4 years’ experience working with and supporting operational IT systems, or the ability to demonstrate an equivalent level of expertise.
- A strong understanding of systems, data and how they are used to support business processes.
- Awareness of data management, compliance or relevant legislation in an operational environment.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Excellent communication and user‑support skills.
- A proactive, solutions‑focused approach.
- Knowledge of Confirm and mobile/field‑based systems (desirable).
