Salford City Council’s Children\’s Residential Service are looking for a passionate and dedicated Deputy Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in one of our OFSTED rated Good and Outstanding children’s homes, providing a nurturing and supportive environment for Salford’s children. Your Mission

  • Support and Lead: Assist the homes Registered Manager in the daily operations and management of the new home, ensuring high standards of care and support.
  • Therapeutic Care: Implement and promote therapeutic approaches to childcare, creating a nurturing environment for young people.
  • Staff Supervision: Oversee and mentor a dedicated team, creating a positive and professional culture within the home.
  • Compliance and Quality: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines, striving for excellence in every aspect of care.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Experienced Professional: You have previous experience working within children’s homes, with a solid understanding of residential childcare.
  • Therapeutic Enthusiast: A passion for therapeutic approaches in childcare, with the ability to implement these strategies effectively.
  • Qualified Candidate: A Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare is highly desirable. You will be required to undertake the Level 5 in Leadership & Management in Residential Childcare on successful completion of your probation period.
  • Passionate and Committed: You are dedicated to making a real difference in the lives of young people, providing them with the care and support they need to thrive.
