PRIMARY PURPOSE

To provide high-quality, effective and flexible teaching for children with Speech, Language and Communication Needs placed in the Language Resource Provision. To work as part of a close-knit classroom team, including specialist, experienced teaching assistants. To work in close collaboration with the Speech and Language Therapist, incorporating targets into daily classroom activities. Promote the core Christian values of the school, linked to the diverse community the school serves.

Qualifications and Experience

Enthusiastic and well organised teacher with SLCN experience and training, or willing to undertake further training. A minimum of 2 years experience of working with SEN children either in a mainstream or Special Needs school.

About the provision

St Philip's Language Resource Provision is a 16-place provision for primary aged children with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (primarily Developmental Language Disorder and Speech Sound Disorders). There are two classes within the LRP; the current vacancy is with the younger of these two classes.
