These are exciting times to work within Salford City Council's fast paced and varied Housing Strategy Team. The team is responsible for the production, monitoring and reporting on the delivery of our housing and homelessness related strategies and policies, driving and delivering a number of key actions within our strategy action plans, as well as some officers conducting s.202 homelessness reviews (under Part VII Housing Act).
We are now seeking a dynamic Strategy Principal Officer for a 12 month Fixed term contract. The role involves developing Salford’s supported housing needs assessment, a new supported housing strategy, delivery plan and monitoring framework in line with the statutory requirements of the Supported Housing Regulatory Oversight Act.
Responsibilities
- Develop supported housing needs assessment, strategy, delivery plan and monitoring framework.
- Ensure tight deadlines are achieved.
- Drive a partnership approach to achieving local outcomes.
- Engage with a wide range of stakeholders to reflect voices of people with lived experience.
- Use data collection and analysis to inform strategy development.
- Plan and manage competing pieces of work.
Qualifications
- Experience in strategy development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Conversations in data collection and analysis.
- Knowledge and understanding of a wide range of housing and homelessness issues.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
