About the role
We are looking for committed, caring and skilled Best Start Inclusion Practitioners to join Salford's Starting Life Well Service and support the delivery of our Best Start Family Hubs offer. This is an exciting opportunity to help make sure babies, children, young people and families with additional needs are welcomed, included and able to take part fully in universal services across the city.

What you will be doing
As a Best Start Inclusion Practitioner, you will help deliver an inclusive, accessible and welcoming Family Hubs offer for children and families across Salford. You will support group-based activity, play opportunities and early intervention, adapting approaches where needed so that children with a range of developmental and additional needs can participate and thrive.
- Work with babies, children, young people and families, including children aged 019 and up to 25 with SEND.
- Support inclusive universal activity across Family Hubs, early years settings and community venues.
- Provide information, advice and guidance to families and early years practitioners.
- Help identify emerging needs early, using agreed approaches and tools.
- Contribute to appropriate onward referrals and pathways to additional support.
- Promote smooth, inclusive and well-coordinated transitions into and between early years provision, including PVI settings.
- Work closely with Family Hubs Workers, early years providers and wider partners to strengthen inclusive practice.
- Maintain accurate records and use family voice and feedback to support continuous improvement.
