Working Hours: 30 hours per week (Monday-Friday 11am - 6.00pm with some flexibility)

About the role: The role combines the cleaning of a premise to the required standard, assisting with general catering and cleaning duties, and the efficient transportation of meals, mail, and other goods / equipment to a variety of schools and other locations across the Citywide sites.

  • Knowledge of commercial cleaning: Would be advantageous but full training will be provided.
  • Driving licence: The post holder must have a clean UK driving licence as this post requires you to travel within the city. A vehicle will be provided for you to carry out your duties within your hours of work.
  • DBS Check: This post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and you will be required to meet the cost of the DBS check currently £49.50. The payment for this will be deducted from your first four months' salary at a rate of £12.38 per month.

If you do not commence employment for any reason but the DBS has been processed, you will be sent an invoice for the payment of £49.50. If you have lived or worked abroad for 3 months or more in the last 5 years or 12 months or more (whether continuously or in total) in the last 10 years whilst aged 18 or over, please refer to this link for details on how to obtain your Certificates of Good Character.
