Working Hours: 25 per week, Mon - Fri 9am-2pm

Contract Type: Permanent, Term Time only.

About the role: As an Assistant Cook you will work with a tight knit team to ensure that the food served is of a high standard. You would be responsible for ensuring that a quality catering service is maintained whilst covering for the absence of the Cook Supervisor. Supervisory experience within a commercial environment is essential together with a high standard of food presentation and excellent customer care skills. Possession of NVQ 2 in Catering or City and Guilds 706/2 in Catering qualification and a current Basic Hygiene certificate is desirable.

Background check requirement: This post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The cost of the DBS check, currently £49.50, will be met by the candidate. This amount will be deducted from the first four months’ salary at a rate of £12.38 per month. If the candidate does not commence employment for any reason after the DBS has been processed, an invoice for £49.50 will be issued.
