Your role Your role will be key to delivering the Building Control service for Salford.
We want you to: Assist the Senior BC Service Lead in undertaking the strategic evaluation of service delivery.
Assist the Senior BC Service Lead in recognising service needs, forecasting future requirements, and monitoring progress against financial and performance targets.
Provide prioritised day‑to‑day management and achieve effective results through allocation, co‑ordination and delegation of Building Control Team workload.
Support team learning and development.
Deliver appraisals, disciplinary and performance reviews.
Provide 1:1 monitoring, feedback and coaching.
Act as day‑to‑day service lead for key high‑risk, complex and major developments, major incidents, and the Building Safety Regulator.
Provide elevated and expert technical advice to all service users, including the Building Safety Regulator and licence application reviewers.
Develop and maintain risk assessments, robust checks, controls and QMS.
Lead on procurement, financial management and supervision of consultants and contractors.
Assist or deputise, when necessary, for the Associate Director of Planning
