AI/ML Engineer

Overview

This is a brilliant opportunity for an early‑mid career developer to gain experience and deliver solutions across the full AI/ML lifecycle, from problem definition through to deployment and ongoing model monitoring. Working closely with the Senior AI/ML Engineer, you will collaborate with developers, data engineers, product owners, and service teams to turn ideas into production‑grade systems.

Responsibilities

• Shape and share design patterns that adhere to the council’s AI engineering standards and toolchains.
• Collaborate with teams to turn ideas into production‑grade systems, delivering value across the AI/ML lifecycle.
• Expand your skills and knowledge by applying emerging AI capabilities including large language models, generative AI, and multi‑agent systems.

Qualifications

• Track record of developing and delivering solutions in production environments.
• Experience working in structured, cloud‑native platforms and delivery environments.
• Awareness of data structures, databases, and analytics techniques.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in an agile environment, balancing delivery with exploration.
• Commitment to learning new skills and enabling team success, with a passion for solving real‑world challenges and making a tangible impact on society.
