We are looking for people who live in Salford or surrounding areas, have a spare room, and are passionate about improving children’s lives. Candidates must be aged 21 or over and able to use their professional experience in a life‑changing way. We need individuals with the heart, resilience and skills to make a real difference in keeping local children within their community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Offer short‑term or long‑term fostering homes for local Salford children and young people aged 0–18 years.
  • Provide respite care when required.
  • Care for sibling groups of 2 or more children where possible, also individual placements.
  • Provide specialist care for complex children and those with additional needs (SEN).
  • Ensure the overall daily 24/7 care of children or young people, including transport to and from educational settings and arranging or attending appointments and meetings.
  • Maintain commitment, understanding and compassion to children during difficult times and help them thrive.
