This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and passionate teacher of A Level Dance to join our outstanding Performing Arts team for a maternity cover. We are seeking an excellent practitioner with the ability to inspire, challenge and support learners across A Level Dance and BTEC Dance.
Working within our vibrant Performing Arts department, you will join a team dedicated to creativity, high standards, and exceptional student outcomes. The department delivers a wide range of successful courses, including BTEC Performing Arts pathways, A Level Dance and Drama, and HNC Musical Theatre, alongside extensive enrichment and industry-focused opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A proven track record of delivering high-quality A Level Dance teaching at post‑16 level.
- Strong subject knowledge and current industry practices.
- Experience preparing students for both academic and practical assessments, with an understanding of current AQA A Level Dance and BTEC specifications as well as supporting them with next steps and progression.
- The ability to nurture confident, skilled performers through structured training, rehearsal processes and performance projects.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, along with a genuine commitment to raising aspirations and expanding creative potential.
- Industry experience, choreography experience, or a background in Dance performance-making would be advantageous.
