We are seeking a proactive and creative Fashion & Textiles Technician to join our vibrant Creative Department. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of our fashion and textiles provision, supporting both staff and students in a dynamic, hands‑on learning environment. You will play a key role in ensuring our studios and workshops are fully prepared, professionally maintained and ready for high‑quality teaching and learning. Working closely with lecturers, you will provide technical support during classes, help students develop practical skills, and keep specialist equipment in excellent working condition.
Key Responsibilities
- Work within the Creative Department, supporting Fashion & Textiles programmes.
- Assist lecturers during classes and provide hands‑on technician support to students.
- Maintain equipment such as overlockers and basic sewing machines, ensuring all machinery is safe and operational.
- Prepare materials and equipment for lectures and practical sessions as required.
- Order suitable materials and equipment in line with curriculum needs.
- Receive, check and store deliveries, maintaining organised stock systems.
