Apprenticeships at Salford City College are an award-winning College provider of apprenticeships in the North West, supporting around 1,500 apprentices and over 500 employers.
We are seeking a highly skilled Trainer/Assessor in Functional Skills Maths to join our dynamic work-based learning team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Functional Skills and able to demonstrate strong subject knowledge, practical experience, and a clear understanding of how Maths supports successful apprenticeship outcomes. They must be confident in motivating and managing a caseload of learners 1-1, and small class delivery to achieve in a timely manner and be committed to continually improving the delivery of teaching, learning and assessment.
The successful applicant will bring creativity and innovation to their delivery, contributing to the development of high-quality resources and engaging learning experiences. A full driving licence and access to their own vehicle are essential, as the role involves travel across multiple North West locations.
Ideally, candidates will hold a recognised teaching qualification and Level 2 (or above) qualifications in both English and Maths. A proven track record of working effectively with employers and supporting learners to achieve excellent results is highly desirable.
