About the role

The ESOL department at Salford City College is committed to inspiring and developing students who are speakers of other languages, to extend their knowledge, skills and understanding of the English language and British culture. Our aim is to maximise students\' potential by improving their communication, literacy, and life skills, enabling students to become confident and independent contributors to modern British society. An opportunity has arisen for a qualified, enthusiastic and skilled ESOL Teacher to join our busy team.

Key responsibilities

Teach students of mixed abilities from pre‑entry to Level 2 ESOL, and accredited Functional IT and Maths across our 16‑18 and adult courses. Combine a strong classroom presence with excellent student achievement and, where asked, teach IT and Maths skills to students.

Qualifications

Qualified ESOL Teacher with a proven track record of outstanding academic success. Proficient in teaching students from pre‑entry to Level 2. Excellent subject knowledge, student‑focused, with a relevant subject degree and an appropriate postgraduate qualification.
