We are seeking a proactive and creative Fashion & Textiles Technician to join our vibrant Creative Department. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of our fashion and textiles provision, supporting both staff and students in a dynamic, hands-on learning environment. You will play a key role in ensuring our studios and workshops are fully prepared, professionally maintained and ready for high-quality teaching and learning. Working closely with lecturers, you will provide technical support during classes, help students develop practical skills, and keep specialist equipment in excellent working condition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work within the Creative Department, supporting Fashion & Textiles programmes.
  • Assist lecturers during classes and provide hands-on technician support to students.
  • Maintain equipment such as overlockers and basic sewing machines, ensuring all machinery is safe and operational.
  • Prepare materials and equipment for lectures and practical sessions as required.
  • Order suitable materials and equipment in line with curriculum needs.
  • Receive, check and store deliveries, maintaining organised stock systems.
