Our client is a market leader in comprehensive, tailored maintenance and property services solutions, specialising in a range of property and grounds maintenance services across Northern Ireland and in ROI. They are looking to appoint a Business Development Manager to join their growing team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial mindset, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in generating new business.
The role:
- Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities across public and private sectors
- Manage business accounts and identify opportunities to upsell and cross sell
- Collaborate with operational teams to develop tailored service solutions for clients
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activity, and potential growth areas
- Negotiate contracts and manage the onboarding of new clients
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity and pipeline
The person:
- Demonstrable experience generating new business and meeting sales targets
- The ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organisation
- Proven ability to drive sales process from plan through to sale
- Proven ability to present the Key Selling Points of each service and position them against competitors
- Strong decision-making skills
- Ability to plan and prioritise workload
- A hunter with a can do mindset
Desirable:
- A knowledge or interest in the local business community would be preferable
- Previous Experience within the Facilities Management/ Grounds Maintenance/ Property Maintenance Industry
Benefits:
- Generous Base Salary (£28-32k - depending on experience and calibre of candidate) and uncapped bonus (OTE £38-£42k in first year)
