Sitting within the Marketing team and working very closely with Product, this role will play a key part in building the foundations of product marketing across the business. You will take ownership of product positioning and go-to-market activity, translating product capability into clear, compelling value for customers across the public and private sectors. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building from the ground up, working across teams and making sense of complexity in a fast-moving scale-up environment. This role offers the opportunity to shape the product marketing function and grow with the business as it scales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and own product positioning, messaging and value propositions across the product, creating clarity and consistency as the business scales.
  • Act as the primary link between Product and Marketing, developing a deep understanding of the roadmap, customer needs and commercial priorities.
  • Build and lead go-to-market processes for new features, enhancements and releases.
  • Translate product functionality into simple, customer-focused stories tailored to different audiences and use cases.
  • Work with Product to bring customer, market and competitor insight into roadmap and prioritisation discussions.
  • Create the core product marketing toolkit from scratch, including website messaging, sales decks, product narratives, launch assets and case studies.
  • Partner with Sales and Customer Success teams to develop enablement materials, messaging and training that support effective cross-selling and product adoption.

What You'll Bring – Essential Experience

  • Proven experience in a Product Marketing role within a B2B SaaS or technology-led business.
  • Experience being part of an early or scaling product marketing function.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS products, go-to-market strategy and customer journeys.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop product positioning and messaging from first principles.
  • Experience working closely with Product teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience in marketing enterprise SaaS solutions and developing product-benefit use cases which help prospective customers sell upwards.

Nice to Have's – Desirable Experience

  • Experience as an early product marketing hire or building product marketing foundations.
  • Exposure to social value, ESG, sustainability or impact-led products.

Qualifications

  • A marketing related degree, CIM qualification or specific product marketing certifications would be desirable.
  • Experience marketing technology solutions into both private and public sector.
  • Experience conducting customer research, interviews or win/loss analysis.
  • Familiarity with agile product development environments.
  • An interest in using product usage data, insight and customer feedback to inform messaging and decisions.

Attributes – Who we're looking for

  • Ability to translate complex, technical features into clear customer value.
  • Comfortable taking ownership, prioritising work and operating with ambiguity.
  • A natural tendency to be curious, improving your knowledge of our product and/or customer problems along the way.
  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
  • You embrace working in a fast moving, dynamic scale up culture and have the ability to adapt or mobilise plans quickly to meet the evolving needs of the organisation.
  • Purpose driven and team orientated. You're motivated by shared goals and collective team achievement.
