Salesforce is currently seeking an experienced Accounting Senior Director to support the organization’s strategy, growth, and operational excellence. As a leader in the Controllership Global organization, responsibilities will include:
- Developing projects in support of designing complex and high-risk accounting transactions and their related processes across our operations globally.
- Contributing or leading projects and initiatives to ensure proper integration of US GAAP, IFRS, and local GAAP accounting and finance business requirements.
- Collaborating with internal teams (FP&A, Legal, Treasury, Tax, Compensation, IT, etc.) and external stakeholders (system integrators, business integrators, etc.).
- Leading the development of the integration strategy aligned with the deal model and accretion plan, translating strategic objectives into detailed integration roadmaps (including milestones, deliverables, and KPIs).
- Establishing robust governance structures and decision-making frameworks with clear escalation paths.
- Designing standard playbooks for non-standard transactions such as acquisitions, mergers, and country expansion.
- Defining and implementing KPIs in coordination with GPOs to monitor performance and enhance visibility on operational effectiveness for leadership.
- Identifying and deploying high-impact AI/agent use cases to scale automated, data-driven operations across Controllership.
- Serving as a central integration point to ensure alignment across Global Process Owners (GPOs), cross-functional partners, and technology teams.
- Facilitating alignment across diverse groups (Tax, Treasury, Legal, M&A) to ensure that Controllership initiatives consider the full financial picture and regulatory landscape.
- Leading key strategic projects within the Global Accounting organization, specifically identifying decision bottlenecks and presenting clear facts to facilitate resolution.
- Serving as a key bridge between the Accounting function and the Digital Enterprise Transformation (DET) team.
- Transforming complex project updates and accounting data into clear, compelling narratives for executive presentations.
- Supporting international accounting operations on certain complex transactions including local compliance obligations or M&A activities.

Qualifications:

- Expertise in US GAAP, IFRS, and local statutory requirements.
- Ability to drive work independently, identifying solutions, moving them to implementation, and developing long-range strategies.
- Must be able to multitask, work efficiently under tight deadlines, and proactively track and report progress.
- Robust experience with SOX audit framework.
- 10+ years of experience in the International accounting environment, with 5+ years in a relevant role for the position.
- Ability to create executive-level decks and verbally articulate complex ideas simply and concisely.
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent work experience) in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related subject area; Project management certification is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage in conversation.
