About Salesforce
Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.
About the Role
The Distinguished Technical Architect, Data & AI is a senior technical leadership role within Salesforce's EMEA Go-to-Market organization. This individual serves as the highest-level technical authority for Data Cloud (D360) and Agentforce pre-sales, bringing deep architectural expertise, executive credibility, and field-facing thought leadership to the most complex and strategic customer engagements across the region. This role operates at the intersection of enterprise architecture, AI strategy, and commercial execution — partnering with Regional Vice Presidents, specialist AEs, and cross-functional leaders to accelerate pipeline, build trust with C-suite buyers, and define how Salesforce's Data & AI platform wins in the market.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the definitive technical authority for Data Cloud and Agentforce across EMEA, engaging directly with CDOs, CIOs, CTOs, and enterprise architects at strategic accounts.
- Lead and influence architecture workshops, executive briefings, proofs of concept, and solution design sessions for the most complex, high-value opportunities in the region.
- Partner with EMEA TA leaders and specialist AEs to define and execute technical strategy for Data 360 and Agentforce coverage — including attach rate improvement and pipeline acceleration.
- Shape and evangelize Salesforce's Data & AI platform narrative in the field, including the positioning of Data Cloud as both a CDP (CMO motion) and a Data & AI Activation Platform (CDO/CIO motion).
- Develop and deliver compelling content — session talks, roundtables, white papers, internal enablement — that arms the broader field with winning technical stories (e.g., D360 + MuleSoft + Informatica).
- Represent Salesforce at flagship field events, industry summits, and customer advisory boards as a recognized thought leader.
- Mentor and elevate the technical capability of the broader EMEA Data & AI Architect team.
- Provide strategic input into product direction, GTM positioning, and competitive differentiation by synthesizing field intelligence from enterprise deployments.
What We're Looking For
- 15+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, data platforms, or AI/ML — with significant time in a customer-facing or pre-sales capacity.
- Deep expertise in modern data architecture patterns: data mesh, lakehouse, unified data platforms, real-time activation, and agentic AI.
- Proven ability to engage and influence C-suite executives (CDO, CIO, CTO) on complex, multi-stakeholder deals.
- Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud (or equivalent CDP/data platform) and the broader ecosystem (MuleSoft, Informatica) strongly preferred.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills — able to translate technical depth into compelling business narratives.
- Track record of building trust across field sales, product, and partner organizations in a matrixed enterprise environment.
- Fluency in English required; additional European languages a plus.
Why This Role
You'll work at the leading edge of enterprise AI transformation, helping the world's largest companies unlock the value of their data with Salesforce. You'll have the autonomy of a senior individual contributor with the influence of an executive — shaping how the region wins, how the team grows, and how Salesforce's Data & AI story is told.
