Lead Solution Engineer with strong technical expertise in digital commerce. This role requires a blend of technical depth, solution design skills, and business acumen to translate customer goals into innovative, scalable solutions. Experience with enterprise commerce platforms and the ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and business audiences are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical and functional advisor for B2C Commerce in strategic sales cycles across multiple industries.
- Lead discovery sessions to uncover customer objectives, technology landscapes, and pain points.
- Translate business requirements into high-quality solution architectures and implementation roadmaps.
- Design, configure, and customize B2C Commerce demos, including storefronts, product catalogs, checkout flows, and OMS integrations.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Industry Specialists, and Partner Ecosystem to ensure alignment and deliver optimal solution recommendations.
- Deliver executive-level presentations and product demonstrations that clearly articulate value and differentiation.
- Guide customers through Commerce Cloud best practices, reference architectures, and implementation considerations.
- Mentor junior solution engineers and serve as a technical escalation point.
- Maintain and expand knowledge of commerce, order management, and digital experience solution patterns and market trends.
- Contribute to reusable demo assets, internal enablement, and continuous improvement of the commerce pre-sales motion.
Required Experience & Skills
- Significant hands-on experience with B2C digital commerce platforms (Salesforce B2C Commerce preferred; SAP Commerce, Adobe Commerce/Magento, Shopify, etc. also considered).
- Strong understanding of commerce and OMS processes, including product catalog and pricing models, promotions/personalisation/search, checkout/tax/fulfillment, and order lifecycle.
- Frontend development hands-on experience (JavaScript, React, HTML, CSS) is highly valued.
- Background in solution architecture, technical consulting, or pre-sales roles.
- Proven ability to build and deliver tailored live demonstrations in customer-facing settings.
- Strong communication, storytelling, and executive presentation skills; ability to simplify complex concepts and lead stakeholders through tradeoffs.
- Collaborative, proactive, self-directed work style; mentoring mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience across Salesforce Customer 360 (Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Order Management, Experience Cloud, MuleSoft, Data Cloud).
- Familiarity with headless commerce patterns, APIs, microservices, and modern UI frameworks.
- Prior experience at a SaaS vendor, system integrator, or digital agency.
- Salesforce Certifications (e.g., B2C Commerce Developer/Architect, Solution Architect, or Application Architect).
