As the Strategic Transformation Lead for Manufacturing, Automotive, Aerospace and Defence (MAAD), you are the strategic technology lynchpin of the integrated account team. Your mission is to drive pipeline generation and revenue by architecting and leading compelling, enterprise-scale transformation narratives that connect our customers\\\’ business challenges to the power of Salesforce technology.
Strategic Technology Leadership
- Architect & Own Enterprise Transformation Narratives: Go beyond product features to create and lead powerful, C-level narratives for each key account. Translate customer business strategy into a tangible vision for digital and agentic transformation, positioning Salesforce as the indispensable partner for achieving customers long-term goals.
- Orchestrate C-Level Engagements: Lead high-impact pre-sales workshops, executive briefings, and solution demonstrations that bring the transformation narrative to life, establishing deep credibility and inspiring confidence in our vision and technology.
- Develop Market-Leading Points of View: Act as the definitive thought leader for MAAD industries. Shape and evangelise the Salesforce perspective through impactful go-to-market assets, industry forums, and executive engagements.
Accountability & Pipeline Generation
- Own the Solution Strategy: Operate as a strategic technology partner to the Account Executive (Sales Leader), responsible for developing and evangelising the ‘North Star’ vision and long term roadmap that aligns with the commercial strategy.
- Drive Pipeline: Proactively identify and develop new, high-value multi-cloud opportunities within strategic accounts. Mitigate competitive threats and ensure every element of our proposal reinforces the core transformation narrative.
- Drive Multiplier Impact: Leverage your expertise to scale success across the business. Mentor other members of the pre-sales team, develop reusable assets, and establish best practices that elevate the entire team\\\’s ability to drive strategic, industry-focused sales cycles.
Team & Ecosystem Leadership
- Technical Lead to the Account Team: Function as the technical and strategic conscience for the virtual account team on your opportunities, ensuring alignment across sales, services, partners, and product teams to deliver a unified and compelling customer experience.
- Champion the Voice of the Customer: Serve as the primary conduit for feedback from our most strategic UKI customers to global Salesforce Product and an Industry leadership, influencing the roadmap and ensuring our solutions meet the evolving needs of the market.
- Cultivate the Partner Ecosystem: Collaborate with key partners (systems integrators and software vendors) in the local market to align on industry messaging and go-to-market strategies, ensuring our entire ecosystem is equipped to deliver on the transformation promise.
Core Qualifications:
- Extensive Digital Transformation Experience: A significant track record (e.g., 10+ years) in a senior, customer-facing role focused on enterprise technology and business transformation (such as pre-sales, enterprise architecture, or strategic consulting).
- Deep Industry Fluency: At least 5+ years of recent, dedicated experience within the Manufacturing, Automotive, Aerospace, or Defence sectors. You must be able to hold credible, strategic conversations with senior clients about their core processes (e.g., supply chain optimisation, PLM, connected products, after-market services) and associated business challenges.
- Proven Technology Pre-Sales & Deal Shaping Success: A demonstrable history of leading the technical and strategic aspects of complex, multi-product sales cycles within an enterprise software organisation. You have directly shaped large deals and are adept at articulating business value to close them.
