The Data Foundation and MuleSoft team is actively seeking a motivated Solution Engineer to join our highly skilled and collaborative Pre-Sales team. You will play a pivotal role in fostering MuleSoft's and Informatica's growth in the UK and Ireland region. Your primary focus will be to serve as a trusted advisor to our potential clients, showcasing how MuleSoft's and Informatica's Platforms can revolutionise IT, fostering greater innovation in this age of agentic transformation. You will work closely with Account Executives across the entire sales process, evaluating sales opportunities by considering customer technical requirements, competition, decision-making processes, and funding. Building strong, nurturing relationships with the client's IT team and C-Level executives, you will harness their profound technical expertise to align the client's technical needs with business objectives.

Qualifications for Success:

  • Prior experience in enterprise software Pre-Sales.
  • Proficiency in building trust with clients and the ability to influence key decision-makers throughout the sales process.
  • Hands-on experience with middleware, one or more of: integration architecture patterns, API technologies, enterprise messaging patterns, BPM, Data Integration, MDM, etc.
  • Proficient in hands-on development, coding, and API design.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies, including iPaaS, SaaS applications, cloud infrastructure, etc. (preferred).
  • Exposure and understanding of agentic AI.
  • Proven track record of creating and delivering Proofs of Concept (PoCs) and independently and effectively responding to functional and technical aspects of RFIs/RFPs.
  • Capability to lead architectural discussions and workshops.
  • A deep passion for technology and the ability to translate that passion into tangible business benefits for customers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong presentation abilities.
  • Willingness to travel as required and to maintain flexibility regarding working hours within the UK and Ireland region.

What You Will Accomplish:

In 3 Months:

  • Attain MuleSoft Developer certification.
  • Complete MuleSoft's SE training programs successfully.
  • Enhance your architectural problem-solving and whiteboarding skills through shadowing and role-playing customer scenarios.
  • Engage with Account Executives and Sales leaders, shadowing customer calls and engagements.

In 12 Months:

  • Assemble all the elements to "perfect your craft" by closing deals.
  • Take ownership of technical sales from start to finish for a range of opportunities.
  • Achieve certification in all Product, Architecture, and Sales Messaging training courses.
  • Deliver product presentations and demonstrations tailored to the client's technical specifications and audience.
  • Develop proofs of Concept (PoCs) as part of an account team to showcase the capabilities of the platform and the outcomes it can deliver.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives on account planning and strategy.
  • Support marketing with activities such as writing blogs, participating in demo-driven webinars, and speaking at industry events.
